About me

IMG_8662.HEIC

In search of a more authentic path, in 2018 I transitioned out of a 12-year military career as a Special Operations Medic in the Navy. During this transition, I taught personal development courses and wrote my second book, Ambitious Heroes and Heartache. Following a deep spiritual hunger within, I began studying theology at Denver Seminary. However, I soon realized this path lacked the depth and connection to spirit I was longing for. This led me to the work of Carl Jung and depth psychology, ultimately guiding me to Pacifica Graduate Institute, where I immersed myself in the world's mythological and wisdom traditions. This spiritual hunger also led me to explorations in South Asian spiritual traditions, Tantric yoga practice, and the development of a daily contemplative and meditative practice. The embodied principles of these traditions influence my spiritual work with others.

Spirituality that emphasizes direct experience is an essential aspect of my personal path and my psychedelic practice—both facilitation and integration—with clients.

To deepen my capacity to guide others in these realms, I am currently pursuing a degree in transpersonal psychology at Naropa University, leading to licensure as a clinical mental health counselor in the state of Colorado.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I am passionate about the outdoors and holistic practices.

I enjoy running, hiking, and snowboarding—really anything that takes me into the mountains. I am dedicated to yoga, breathwork, and Tantric spiritual practices. When I’m not spending quality time with my wife and our two dogs, you can find me practicing or teaching yoga, exploring the Colorado wilderness, playing disc golf, enjoying concerts at Red Rocks, and spending quality time with friends.
